"Oasis't Met Y'all Yet" is the starting time single from Canadian singer Michael Bublé's sixth album, Crazy Love, released on August 31, 2009.[two] Co-ordinate to Bublé, the single and its official music video are "well-nigh anybody'southward dream of finding a relationship and dearest."[3] Bublé co-wrote "Oasis't Met You Even so" with Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gillies, and dedicated it to his wife, Luisana Lopilato (who appears as his love involvement in the music video).[4]

Critical reception [edit]
The song received favourable reviews. Patrick McKiernan from the website Allgigs.co.uk gave the vocal four out of five stars, proverb, "The lyrical construction is not too far from his comfort zone but is still engaging plenty to pay attention to but information technology's actually the music I think is nifty. The pianoforte is jaunty and upbeat and has some very beautiful, understated string organization that matches his vocal amuse perfectly and the song fifty-fifty has a great bit of bugle at the bridge."[12] The song was one of the album'due south rails choice from the AllMusic review. Nick Levine from Digital Spy gave the vocal 3 out of 5 stars, saying: "'Oasis't Met Y'all Even so' is a toe-tapping popular tune with lavish production—the strings slap-up in all the correct places, the brass parps perkily—and lyrics and then shamelessly romantic Barry Manilow could sing them. It's cheesy equally a quesadilla and too chirpy past half, but if this sort of matter pushes your guilty pleasance push, it's probably best to enjoy it while y'all can".[thirteen]
Music video [edit]
A promotional video was released a few days later the release of the song in digital format at his official site on September v, 2009.[14] It showed Bublé at a photo shoot wearing a dark brownish jacket against a white background. The full music video was directed past Rich Lee and was released on October 1, 2009. The video is about Bublé in a supermarket (Killarney Market on 49th Avenue in Vancouver, Canada, in the Killarney neighbourhood). After coming together a blonde woman (Luisana Lopilato) in an alley, all the customers, staff, and a cameo appearance past the W Vancouver Youth Band,[16] start dancing around the store in commemoration, eventually moving outside to the parking lot equally confetti descends. During the January 30, 2010 episode of Sat Night Alive, in which Bublé is the musical guest, he appeared in a commercial parody for a restaurant that host Jon Hamm has opened chosen "Hamm and Bublé" that exclusively serves dishes featuring pork (ham) and champagne (bubbly - a deliberate mispronunciation of Bublé). While Bublé sings alternate lyrics to the melody of "Haven't Met You Yet" that reflects the restaurant's theme, information technology becomes obvious that Hamm is holding Bublé against his volition, forcing him to sing and perform non-musical shows.

The video reached over 100,000 views on YouTube in less than a calendar week later existence released online on Oct 22. The lip dub was made in response to the viral 'UVic' (Universitat de Vic from Kingdom of spain) "Hey, Soul Sister" lip dub that many, including glory blogger Perez Hilton,[27] mistakenly believed came from the Canadian 'UVic'. Michael Bublé expressed interest in being a role of the lip dub, merely due to scheduling conflicts was unable to exist in Victoria, British Columbia at the time of shooting.
On July 11, 2011 a YouTube channel called Bad Lip Reading did some other type of lip dub-recording over the music video using an entirely new song, called "Russian Unicorn", unrelated musically to the original, with lyrics that matched Bublé's lip movements. For example, the new song inverse the original line "We tin work to work information technology out" to "We could shoot a Russian unicorn."[28] Bublé mentioned it in an interview, saying it was his new favourite song.[29] He said it was "1 of the coolest things I've e'er seen" and called the maker "an evil genius."[25]

Chart performance [edit]
In its outset week, "Haven't Met Yous Withal" debuted at number 65 with but digital downloads to promote it. On February 27, 2012, Nick Jonas covered the vocal in the TV series Boom in the episode "The Toll of Art". He performed the song behind a piano at a party that was given to him. The cover was released as a unmarried on March 6, 2012[70] [71] and appeared on the serial soundtrack, which was released May ane, 2012.[72]
